About the Author

PAOLO NOVARESIO was born in Turin in 1954 and graduated with a degree in Contemporary History. A traveler, historian and writer, he has always worked in the field of exploration methods. Novaresio also oversees the logistical preparation of trips and scientific expedition, and has contributed articles on African history and civilization to numerous newspapers and magazines. He published Men towards the unknown (1997), Sahara (2003) and Vanishing Africa (2004) with White Star.
