About the Author

Catherine Aird is the author of more than twenty crime novels and storycollections, most of which feature Detective Inspector Sloan. She was awardedthe CWA Diamond Dagger for her lifetime contributions to crime fiction. Sheholds an honorary MA from the University of Kent and was made an MBE. Apartfrom writing the successful Chronicles of Calleshire, she has also written andedited a series of village histories. She lives in Kent.
