Reviews

"Keep a copy in your glove compartment to have handy for the next time someone complains that the Kansas landscape is flat and boring."--Kansas History

This mile-by-mile guide describes the history, plants and animals, landscape, and agriculture along I-70, from the High Plains of western Kansas to the Missouri River, and everything in between."--Rex Buchanan, coauthor of Roadside Kansas: A Traveler's Guide to Its Geology and Landmarks"Effectively combines practical information with history and geography in a manner that will appeal to anyone who drives I-70. A highly readable narrative companion for journeys across Kansas."--Virgil W. Dean, editor of Kansas History: A Journal of the Central Plains
