About the Author

Marjorie Sarnat's fanciful coloring book style evolved from her love of patterns, which she developed through an earlier career as a textile designer. Also influencing her style is her lifelong passion for collecting vintage illustrated books and ephemera. Her love for all things nostalgic finds its way into her coloring book imagery. Marjorie's bestsellers include the Creative Cats Coloring Book, and Owls Coloring Book, together which have sold over 2 million copies and have been translated into 18 languages. These sales have catapulted Marjorie into the company of exclusive authors having two books listed throughout the entire year on the "Publishers Weekly Bestseller List" after release in Spring 2015. Her recent coloring books, Creative Kittens, Playful Puppies, Fanciful Foxes, Pampered Pets, Fanciful Fashions and Dazzling Dogs, earn enthusiastic praise from thousands of colorists who are endeared to Marjorie's imaginative style of illustration. In her career, Marjorie has designed hundreds of popular collectibles and crafts that have delighted collectors throughout the world. She is co-founder of Jr Imagination(R), a publishing company whose books and games encourage creativity in children and adults. Born and raised in Chicago, Marjorie is an alumna of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and earned a BFA degree from Eastern Michigan University. Marjorie lives in Southern California with her husband, daughter, son, three funny dogs, and her extensive antique book collection.
