About the Author

Roni Schotter is the award-winning author of 29 books for children of all ages--from picture books to middle-grade and y.a. novels. Well-known for her book NOTHING EVER HAPPENS ON 90TH STREET, used in many schools to inspire children to recognize and write THEIR stories, her books THE BOY WHO LOVED WORDS and MAMA, I'LL GIVE YOU THE WORLD are also popular award-winners. Roni Schotter is the author of THE HOUSE OF JOYFUL LIVING, a semi-autobiographical picture book, and three Jewish holiday books--HANUKKAH! (winner of The National Jewish Book Award) and PASSOVER MAGIC and PURIM PLAY. F IS FOR FREEDOM, a novel for grades 3-6, won the Washington Irving Children's Choice Award and is a story about friendship and the power of literacy set at the time of the Underground Railroad.
