Ali Wunderman is a travel writer, guidebook author, and wildlife
journalist and photographer with her work appearing in more than 25
publications. Ali's writing helps other travelers have memorable
experiences in the places she loves most, including by illuminating
ethical wildlife tourism practices. Central America holds a special
place in Ali's heart for creating the foundation for her travel
infatuation, though you might just as easily spot her in Iceland,
Colombia, or anywhere interesting animals roam.
Ali was born and raised in San Francisco, but now splits her time
between northern Montana and Belize, along with her husband Michael
and their rescue mutt Sophie. Ali also runs a wildlife blog called
The Naturalist, and is certified in forklift operation and cow AI,
neither of which has ever helped her writing career (yet).
