About the Author

NICHOLAS P. CHEREMISINOFF is a consultant to industry,international lending institutions and donor agencies on pollutionprevention and responsible environmental care practices. With acareer spanning more than 30 years, he is also the author,co-author or editor of more than 150 technical books and hundredsof state of the art review and scientific articles. He received hisB.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering fromClarkson College of Technology. ANTON DAVLETSHIN received a degree in constructionmanagement from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and has mostrecently joined N&P Ltd, an environmental services group thatfocuses on pollution prevention and environmental management. Mr.Davletshin has focused on green building practices and technologiesand has assisted N&P Ltd on a number of site investigationsincluding the Tennessee Valley Authority flyash spill.
