Christopher Lawrence is Australia's best-known classical music entertainer with more than 25 years experience in broadcasting, recording and writing on the subject. In some of his hundreds of interviews on ABC Radio, Christopher has discussed recording techniques with K.D. Lang, J.S. Bach s eye operations with Professor Fred Hollows and singing while running uphill with Julie Andrews. He has also been a guest conductor for several Australian symphony orchestras. Christopher's recording work has earned him three ARIA Awards and an International Emmy for Performing Arts. The three Swoon Collection CDs that evolved from Christopher's popular segment on his ABC Classic FM Breakfast programme, have broken records in the Australian classical music industry. Two went platinum and the final volume, Swoon III- The Final Indulgence went Gold in just five weeks. The total unit sales are in excess of a quarter of a million, making them the best selling classical compilations ever released in Australia. Christopher also writes for the international magazines Opera and Opera Now.
