About the Author

Liza Baker is a children's book editor and the author of several books for young readers, including two previous titles illustrated by David McPhail, I Love You Because You're You, and Mama's Right Here. Liza lives in Westchester, New York, with her husband, Aaron, a Lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department, and her three very busy young sons, Gardner, Byron and Caleb.
Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak is a former newspaper editor and journalist. Currently she is an administrator at a private day school. She and her husband, Mike, have two grown children. They live with their three cats, in upstate New York.
Award-winning author Lisa McCourt has written over 30 books for children, including the Stinky Face books. She lives with her family in Boca Raton, Florida.
Eve Bunting was born in 1928 in Ireland where she was raised, and she graduated from Methodist College. She has written more than two hundred books, ranging from picture books to young adult novels. This wonderful writer is also wonderful wife to her husband Ed and a mother of three - one daughter and two sons - Christine, Sloan, and Glenn.
David McPhail was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts. He attended Vesper George University from 1957 to 1958 and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School from 1963 to 1966. He has been an illustrator of children's books since 1967 and an author of children's books since 1971. He says he enjoys writing and illustrating as much as he did when he began.

Caroline Jayne Church was a bestselling author and illustrator. Some of her bestselling titles include I Love You Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak, How Do I Love You? by Marion Dane Bauer, You Are My Sunshine by Jimmie Davis, and Good Night, I Love You.


Cyd Moore has illustrated many books for children, including the Stinky Face series. She lives in South Carolina, but you can visit her at cydmoore.com.
Born and raised in suburban Wyckoff, New Jersey, Melissa Sweet studied art at the Kansas City Art Institute. She has worked at various types of commercial art, and has created posters, greeting cards, and one-of-a-kind handmade books. Since entering the world of children's books, she has published over 60 titles. Her lighthearted, gentle cartoon illustrations have graced a wide range of children's books from board books to series fiction to more serious nonfiction subjects, all very successfully. She received a Caldecott Honor for her work in A River of Words: The Story of William Carlos Williams.
