About the Author

Rhavensfyre is the pen name used by east coast writer KL and her wife, Roxy, who have been partners since 2000 and were finally legally married in Washington, D.C. in 2012. They have a small farm where they raise and breed horses with their two dogs and several cats in tow. In their spare time, they try to keep an organic garden and enjoy the fact that their farm is also home to several owls, a pair of hawks, and one annoying woodpecker. In addition to the living creatures, KL and Roxy enjoy cycling and anything that takes them out into nature. Both ladies enjoy photography and love to share images from their frequent trips through the scenic countryside. Rhavensfyre writes novels, novellas and short stories that run from sweet to erotic, from modern drama to fantasy. There is a little bit of everything for everyone here. Switching Gears was their first book and won the 2014 Goldie literary award in erotica. Described as gritty, emotional and hard-hitting, this is a book that was difficult to write and addresses some important social issues such as self harm in addition to it's intense and visceral romance. New to the fantasy Genre is Ladysmith, the first of a series where Fae and the modern world meet in an unique twist on ancient tales. We strive to build stories that will make you cry, laugh and bite your nails along with our characters. We want you to want to be one of our characters, or be with them. Sometimes we write characters you may hate rather then love, but they are all wonderfully fresh, sometimes bent or broken, and occasionally they are evil right down to the bone.
