Jamil Hasanli is an Azerbaijan historian and was a visiting professor at East China Normal University in Shanghai from 2016 to 2017. Previously he taught at Baku State University and served two terms as a member of Azerbaijan’s Parliament. He has published numerous books and articles, including Foreign Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Routledge, 2016).
