Reviews

"It's unlikely that a diver, beachcomber, or intertidal explorer in the Pacific Northwest will find a marine plant or animal that is not covered in this work."
—Jennifer Ruesink and Alan Trimble, Department of Biology, University of Washington, Discovery

"Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest is, if I may say, Biblio extraordinaria. Highly recommended."
—Catherine Dook, Boat Journal

"This volume should be on every coffee table in the province. The most comprehensive photographic collection of Pacific Northwest marine life ever published."
—Christine Scott, North Island MidWeek

"It's easy to get carried away with superlatives, but the depth and range of material in Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest is unprecedented and the photographs (1,700 and counting) are superb! This book pushes our appreciation and understanding of West Coast marine invertebrates to an entirely new level."
--David Rahn, Western Mariner

"Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest is the most comprehensive collection of photographs of Pacific Northwest marine life ever published. It is designed to allow the reader to recognize virtually any coastal organism that might be encountered from southern Alaska to central California - from sea lettuces and feather boa kelp to the leopard ribbon worm, Pacific red octopus, spiny-thigh sea spider and gutless awning-clam. Each species is identified with photographs and includes a description with information on range, habitat, appearance, and behaviour.""
