"An elegant and straightforward exposition of Buddhist teachings
and the path to embody them."
--Jack Kornfield, author of A Path with Heart
"Robert Beatty has only ever shown up fully as himself--never a
hint of projecting some cherished self-image--and has skillfully
incorporated the practices of deep insight meditation into the
unfolding stories of our all too human lives. I have known him to
courageously offer his own life examples as grist for this mill.
This exemplary courage of his to teach in this way has consistently
had the effect of encouraging others to reframe their own life
experience, take on the deeper practice as a personal truthing
mechanism, and consciously evolve their relationship with reality
joyfully."
--Peter Moore, Director, Breitenbush Hot Springs and Conference
Center, Detroit, Oregon
"This book is infused with Robert's personal experiences as a human
being, a therapist, and a Dharma teacher in a practical and
understandable way. Robert's many years of practice and teaching,
his willingness to tell his own story in a way that allows us to
explore our own experiences, and his unique approach through music,
sitting, movement, talks, teaching, and supporting were ideal ways
to pass on this practice to us."
--Jean Crowder, former Member of Parliament for the Canadian
Government
