Edward St Aubyn's gentle satire of New Ageism is a richly insightful and vigorously funny take on the modern condition.
Edward St Aubyn was born in London in 1960. He is also the author of the highly acclaimed trilogy Some Hope, reissued by Picador in 2006, and of Mother's Milk, which was shortlisted for the 2006 Man Booker Prize and won the South Bank Literature Award. On the Edge was shortlisted for the Guardian Fiction Award in 1998.
St Aubyn has achieved a comic novel which is more than a send-up
and carries the message that love is not quite all you need.
