About the Author

Vicki Hunt Budge grew up in southern Idaho with a mother who read to her and a father who taught her to golf and swim. Vicki attended Idaho State University and the University of Utah. She began writing for the Friend magazine when her children were young and she's published many stories and articles for LDS church magazines since that time. She and her husband raised four children in Central Oregon but now reside in Utah. In addition to treasuring her children and grandchildren, Vicki enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and family history. She and her husband served as missionaries in the LDS Addiction Recovery Program for ten years, and count those years as some of the best years of their lives.
