SUSAN LEMBO BALIK is the Associate Director of Cultural Affairs at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, New Jersey, home to the Poetry Center in the historic Hamilton Club. Before joining the PCCC staff, she worked as a newspaper feature writer and wrote a parenting column focusing on health, nutrition, environmental and spiritual issues. She lives on the upper floors of her two-family childhood home in Hawthorne, New Jersey with her husband, two teenagers and two dogs. Her very independent 95-year-old father lives below. She holds an M.A. in journalism from New York University. Her poems have appeared in The Paterson Literary Review, Lips, Paddlefish and Tiferet. This is her first book of poetry.
