About the Author

Christopher Durkin is an Associate Professor at the University of Northampton. Previously he was Head of the Northampton Institute of Urban Affairs, Social Enterprise Development Director in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Northampton, a member of the School's senior management team and course leader for the MA in Social Innovation, a social venture builder programme.

Robert Gunn is a former lecturer of social policy and social work at the University of York, who has an extensive practice background in the probation service specialising in community development.
