'The Sweet Race' was written by Gabriella Galkin, an 8-year old author from USA. Way before writing her first book, from a very young age, Gabriella always asked adults to read to her and was the most grateful listener. When she began to read by herself, she started reading to her younger brother Sam. And when there were no books around, Gabriella made the stories up. 'The Sweet Race' is one of her stories. Gabriella lives in Miami, Florida, right near the beach so she learned to swim and walk at the same time. Gabriella likes to play chess, to draw, and to play the piano.
