Anna Maggio was born in a small village in Puglia, Southern Italy. Her early childhood memories are an essential part of her life, and the simple and traditional recipes inherited from her mother sparkle with love and flavour. When she was ten, her family migrated to Milan where she was educated. She moved to London in the 1970s, where she married a musician and had two children, who are both musicians. Anna shares her time between London and her trullo 'Il Paradiso' in Puglia, described by Rick Stein as 'an amazingly atmospheric house set in an olive grove'.
