Joan Beesley was born in 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. A former English teacher and telecommunications manager, Joan worked on her Ph.D, in English at the University of Denver after a stint with Time-Life Books in New York. Joan currently lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband of 46 years, Ed Beesley, children Robert, Rosemary and Kimberly and grandchildren Tyler, Dillon, Ellen and Ashleigh. In addition to "Witchbox", Joan has also published "Hot House Flowers, I Just Wanted to Be Here When You Called My Name", a novel about pediatric cancer survival, two poetry collections, "Lot's Wife" and "Poems Along the Path" and a memoir, "Through the Looking Glass". Her most recent work is an autobiography/biographical historic novel called "Forty Shades of Green: The Junkman of Brooklyn".
