The first big film created especially for Shirley Temple. Shirley splits her time between the pilot godfather and her long suffering mother, housemaid for a wealthy, selfish family. When a tragic accident leaves Shirley orphaned, her godfather sets out to adopt her only to find out he's not the only one determined to keep the adorable youngster.
