Fearless Hyena marks the directorial debut of Jackie Chan as he shook off the shackles of an industry trying to turn him into a Bruce Lee clone and was reborn as the action legend we all know and love. Made after fan favourites like Drunken Master and Snake in the Eagles Shadow, Chan ups the ante with even more elaborate displays of martial arts as he trains to avenge the death of his grandfather. Mixing in many comedic touches, Chan is at the height of his career in terms of ferocious fight action. After a series of eye popping training sequences where he learns how to mix emotions with kung fu, it's the final fight that really delivers as Chan goes all out to display his physical genius to stunning and often hysterical effect.
