Long considered one of the finest remixers in the world of commercial dance, Ti‰sto continues to pump up the jams on the fourth installment of his Sunrise series. Inspired by the electronic music (and people) of Latin America, Ti‰sto gives his fans no less than 28 tracks to move and groove to. "Do What U Want" may be the album's most melodic tune. Featuring a sultry female vocal performance, this piece has more of a "song" feel than the average clubgoer might expect. Other mixes such as "Palma Solane" and "Evolution" from disc two fit well within the categories of trance. In simplest terms, though, this is electronically generated groove music. Its focus is on adrenaline-laced rhythms and heart-pounding downbeats. Occasionally, Tiesto's mixes sound hazy or dreamy, but the majority of Sunrise, Vol. 4 is wide-awake, heated, and rapturous. ~ Eric Starr
